The weather is starting to change, the days are shortening. At Mossdale, it has been another fantastic month of school! From MAP testing to Power of the Paw recognition assemblies, and basketball to seeing our students at Lathrop HS last Friday night, our students and staff have been busy at every turn diving deeper into the school year.
As a staff, we are working diligently to meet every student where they are. Now that we are getting deeper into fall, our goal is to help every student progress and meet their goals. As always, Mossdale is a place Where The Making Of Success Stories Happens Daily!
Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do to support your student in any way!

During September, Mossdale School received the notification from the California PBIS office that our school is being recognized as a PBIS Gold level school within the statewide PBIS recognition system! This is a testament to the work done by our PBIS committees, as well as all of our staff as we work to create learning conditions that maximize social, emotional, and positive behavioral outcomes for all students on campus. Congratulations Jaguars!

You may be aware, but in case you arent - Mossdale School has implemented a new attendance incentive program this year! Classes compete against each other and have the chance to earn class rewards based on the number of days they have perfect attendance as a class. These awards range from a popsicle party to Mossdale sunglasses, stickers, extra recess time or even a class BBQ!
For the month of September, as a school we have increased our daily attendance by 2.5% compared to this time last year. Keep it up punctual and present Jaguars!

Hello Mossdale Jaguars, it's Officer Dominguez!
It is time for this month's 'SRO tip'. What do you think of when you hear the term 'stranger'? I'll give you a hint, a stranger is a person who is unfamiliar to you. Not all strangers are bad, but it is better to air on the side of caution especially as a kid. Please be safe out there, if an adult approaches you that you do not know, do not share personal information with them and find your trusted adult to tell. This translates to online as well, never share personal information with people you do not know online.
That is it for me, see you next month!!

On Monday, Sept 25, MUSD Transportation was on campus and brought 8 school busses to teach all of our students about bus safety and what to do in an emergency! This was an invaluable experience for our students as many students have not had the opportunity to ride a school bus yet. That time will come, as we continue to work on scheduling field trips, activities and other opportunities for different grade levels. Thank you MUSD Transportation!
